Program Overview

From Absolute Beginner to University-Ready Turkish

Turkish language courses run year-round at university language centres and accredited private schools, following the Common European Framework from A1 to C1. A C1 certificate is what Turkish-taught degree programmes require, and it is also the fastest route to working and settling comfortably in Türkiye.

Levels: A1 to C1 on the Common European Framework, with placement testing before you start.

Duration: Roughly eight weeks per level on an intensive schedule; longer on a part-time timetable.

Certificate: A recognised certificate at each completed level, issued by the language centre.

Why C1: Turkish-taught degree programmes generally require C1, so it is the usual target for degree-seekers.

Entry Requirements

  • Individual Assessment: Every application is assessed on an individual basis
  • Prior Knowledge: None required for A1 — complete beginners are welcome
  • Placement Test: Students with some Turkish take a placement test to find the right starting level
  • Age: Courses are generally open to students aged 16 and above
  • Documents: Valid passport and photographs; academic documents where the course leads on to a degree application
